R-TV’s December Movie of the Month

Come and celebrate the end of classes and relax before finals with some holiday fun!

R-TV will be playing two holiday movies, a student film - The Last Christmas - followed by Jingle All the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

We’ll start things off with The Last Christmas - follow four hunters as they chase down the most popular creature of myth and lore: Santa Claus.

Then in Jingle All the Way, a harried father (Schwarzenegger) decides to dream the impossible dream, to get that year’s hot toy for his son just before Christmas Day.

We will be serving hot cocoa for the cold weather and holiday treats, so be sure to join R-TV for some good times, fun movies, and holiday cheer!

Fall 2009 Launch

On October 7th, at noon, a brand new era of R-TV begins.

R-TV is proud to launch all new content this coming Wednesday. Our new staff members have been working hard to learn how to use all the equipment and edit their shows, and we have several exciting pieces to air.

From R-TV News to the Athletics Department’s very own sports show, to Rollins Cribs and movies you haven’t seen yet, R-TV is premiering all new content! So be sure to tune in to channel 98 from any TV on campus and watch your friends and peers bring you the latest in campus new and entertainment.

The Involvement Fair has come and gone, and plans are being put into action for an amazing semester at R-TV this year.

If you’re a new student, or just want to catch up on what R-TV has been up to in the past, be sure to check out the reel we premiered at the Involvement Fair above. Some of our favorite moments, pieces and information about upcoming events are all there for your viewing pleasure. Starting tonight this will be airing on R-TV channel 98, until our launch of brand new content in a few weeks.

Welcome Back!

R-TV would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students! We have a lot of exciting plans this year, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Not only will we have more content, but we have several exciting events planed, including monthly Movies in the Park. But we have a few more surprises hidden up our sleeves - you’ll just have to wait to find out what we’ve got planned!

RTV wraps up the Spring 2009 season

R-TV will be off the air until August. We will still be available to create ads, spots and films over the summer, though! If you would like something on campus filmed, or a short video created for your department or organization, please let us know.

For instance, we could create videos to air at the Fall Involvement Fair, to show to new students/faculty/staff, or just to display on your department’s home web page. Contact us for more information!

How to get your videos shown on R-TV

If you’ve created a movie, documentary, ad, etc. for class, Campus Movie Fest, or just for fun, you can submit it to R-TV to be aired on channel 98 across campus! Here’s how:

First, make sure your movie is a QuickTime file, with the extension .mov. When exporting your video, using the H.264 compressor is recommended.

You may either submit a hard copy data-dvd to campus box 2595, or a digital copy through our site. Just click on the Staff link, then Upload Video link.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Just e-mail rtv@rollins.edu with the subject line “Video Submission Question.”

And if you have a great idea for a show, we’d love to hear it! Please contact the current Executive Producer for instructions on submitting and creating your show idea. Then go to Staff -> Handbook for more information on submitting a show idea.
